I've had a junky day at work so this should be quick so I can get to packing for this weekend and to bed.

I know I say this every week but I think I've hit another growth spurt. My shirt is extra short and I think I'm only gonna get another week out of it before I have to switch to another one. A quote tonight from Joe to me was "Babe, don't take this the wrong way but you are getting big." Ha! I love how he warns me before he insults me. I do agree with him though so no offense was taken. I've noticed quite a bit more cramping this week which makes sense with my growth spurt.
I am sleeping freaking awesome though. I wake up very refreshed even before my alarm goes off at 6:45 and I look forward to just laying in bed for a while in the mornings. Pre-pregnancy, I was mostly a side-sleeper so I've had no problem having to continue that. Just this week, I've started to be uncomfortable laying on my stomach. It puts too much pressure on my hips or something.
This week, Joe and I got to meet little Annabelle Dockter. She is a doll and barely made a peep the whole time we were at Ben and Emily's. Joe is pretty leery around itty bitty babies but he did well holding her. She looked extra snug in his arms.

This week I'm struggling a bit with my eating habits. I'm not really hungry and I almost have to force myself to eat snacks because I know I need too. I could easily get away with eating my normal granola bar for breakfast and a pbj for lunch but I've really been trying to get in a morning snack (some type of fruit) as well as a few afternoon snacks (usually a yogurt and something salty like peanuts.) Most of the time I'm just eating because the clock says it's time to have a snack. This week I picked up a pack of V8 singles to keep in my work fridge. So far I've had one of those every day to help get some more of my fruits and veggies. I can't get enough water, however.
I should keep forcing myself to eat, right?

Mango week has some pretty gross stuff happening. Vernix Caseosa, a greasy white substance made of baby hair, oil and dead skin cells, is coating the babies skin as a protectant from the amniotic fluid. I'm totally picturing this to look like bacon grease after it's hardened a bit which probably increases the grossness factor. Also, the babies body is now proportional with the arms and legs stretching out to match the head and torso. Loud sounds and feelings of stress or alarm may be communicated to the baby, thanks to its heightened senses. Great, now I'm going to stress about the baby getting stressed about my stress. :)
We have a busy weekend planned in Pontiac that is much needed. I had a big breakdown tonight and I think it was heightened by the fact that we haven't gotten away in a few weeks. I need the distraction, plus who doesn't love a wedding! Stay tuned for recaps..... on Sunday if you're lucky!
