Weekend recap

19 weeks, 4 days

We had a much needed trip home to Pontiac this weekend. I knew it was going to be a busy one (which ended up being an understatement), but a great time nonetheless. The main festivities for the weekend involved the Miller wedding but we somehow fit in a ton of other stuff too.

Friday, we hightailed it from work straight to the church for rehearsal since Joe was one of the groomsmen. After rehearsal and dinner, we ended up going to BnR's with all the other groomsman and were able to meet Danni & Tim and Linds & Troy. Before I knew it, we were heading home at 12:30am....way past my normal bedtime that's for sure! Rachel actually texted me shortly after 12am asking me if I had died because she couldn't believe we were still out. I was really proud of myself for sticking it out that late even though it had been a long day.

I won't complain about my early wake up on Saturday (Seriously, why can I not sleep past 7:00 anymore?) since Joe was up at 5:30 for a 6:45 tee time at the golf course. Crazy kid fell asleep about 1:30 on Friday night so he only got 4 hours of sleep. He is the only person on this planet who can do that crap and move on with his day like normal.

The wedding festivities were on Saturday and I am pretty embarrassed at the amount of pictures I took. Normally, my camera is attached to me but I just wasn't in the mood for some reason. Here are a few of the measly snaps I was able to get. (Not even a single one of the bride or groom = pathetic!) Basically all of them were taken after midnight when most everyone had left and I was the only sober person within the building. :)

Joe and Lisa have had a constant poke war going on FB for a good 4 years now.

I asked Jake to take our picture and the poor kid could not figure out what to do. (Ahem, too many beers?) I put it in auto so all he had to do was push the shutter button but after a couple of tries, I settled with this weirdly lit one.

Sunday was my favorite day of the weekend. I spent a few hours laying out by the pool and after a quick storm, we were able to hit up Kevin Francis' high school grad party. (How is he that old already?! I feel like he should be 7 forever.) The whole ride back home Joe and I hardly said a word because we were both so exhausted. It was an extra early bedtime for us on Sunday.
