2 months, 29 days old
Did I mention I returned to work the week before two major holidays? Because I did. This was stupid of me. See, we've traveled to Pontiac every weekend since. What does this mean, you say? That my house is a freaking disaster and my to-do list is pages long. We have NOTHING planned this weekend and I can hardly wait!
So what have we been up to since starting back at work?
Besides crying over daycare, I
*shopped for Christmas while Aunt Rachel entertained a fussy baby in the car.
*pumped in the HomeEc classroom of my old high school during a cheerleading competition. (Mark that one off my bucket list!)
*celebrated Christmas 7 times. Thank goodness the parties were split up into two weekends.
*drove over 600 miles
*opened WAY too many presents. We have generous families and friends.
*purchased storage in the form of ottomans and a bookcase for said presents. So.many.toys.
*put away Christmas
*cuddled with Barrett
*used my breast pump 50+ times. such an annoying necessity.
*rang in the New Year while holding a sleeping baby in one arm and drinking a glass of Asti in the other (classy!)
*taken pictures
*not edited said pictures
*kept a secret....except from Joe. (He doesn't count!)
*cooked dinner with random items found in our pantry
*started reading Hunger Games
*not mailed my "Merry Christmas" cards
Busy, busy!
Don't worry, I can't skip over Baby's First Christmas so more posts coming shortly. But first, we have a certain 3(!) month birthday to celebrate in a few days. Can you believe it?
Oh you are teasing- "*kept a secret....except from Joe. (He doesn't count!)"
ReplyDeleteYeah, you can't tease us all that you are keeping a secret! Not fair. Now I need to know.
