4 months, 20 days old
Breastfeeding: It's been a hard week with nursing. My supply tanked quite a bit when I had the flu a few weeks back and it hasn't recuperated. I'm doing everything to get it back...oatmeal, drinking lots of water, making sure I'm taking in plenty of calories. I have fenugreek coming in the mail tomorrow and hopefully that will help. I'm trying not to stress about it because I know that only makes it worse. For now, I'm taking it one week at a time and hoping to make it till B is 6 months which is about 5 weeks away. My original goal was always 11 months but we'll see.
Pumping and having to keep up is a job in and of itself. The thing is I hate pumping. I really should be power pumping at night more than I do but I'm exhausted at the end of the day trying to get the kid to sleep and then when he finally does I have bottles to get ready and laundry to do and the kitchen to clean. Yada yada yada. In the end, I know just making it this far is better than nothing so I am thankful for that.
(Gosh, that was longer than I planned. I guess I needed to get it off my chest.)
Teething: I think I felt a little nub trying to pop through on the top. He was a serious crank monster today and I hope to God it was because of teeth. I'm scared of what the future holds though if that's the case.
Weekend: We are wrapping up a pretty low key weekend tonight. Honestly, I'm usually in bed before now (9pm, yes I'm lame) but the Oscars are on so I'm forging through. I'm probably going to regret this decision when Barrett wakes before midnight. We didn't really do much of substance this weekend and that was what made it so great. Usually, we are running around or traveling every weekend so it was nice to just hang out at home. Joe and I made it a marathon cleaning weekend. I packed away a bunch more clothes of Bubs that he doesn't fit into anymore which takes the count to 2 large tubs full of stuff that we are done with. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? The only time I left the house was to make a trip to Lowe's. We are doing a big deck build this summer and we started buying supplies.
Here's to another week! (Can you believe it's almost March!?)
