We've got a walker!

Yes, we do! Barrett took his first steps a few weeks ago and has been taking 1 to 2 steps on occasion since. He started off by standing (not incredibly sturdy) on his own at about 10 1/2 months and then would gradually take steps here and there. The first real ones were standing next to the toilet and taking two teeny steps to the tub surround. He's moved on to practically running around the coffee table and couches as he cruises through the living room. He can make it almost all the way from our dining room table to the back sliding glass door just by cruising along furniture. He can book it! We've been enticing him to move away from furniture and of course, the sure fire way to do that is to get out the video camera. Unfortunately, he knows he can get to it a lot faster by crawling so he gives up.

However, yesterday, he seemed determined to go farther. He's taking 7-8 steps at a time. Sometimes even going a few steps, stopping and standing, then taking a few more. He'll be running around this place in no time!
