Holland is 1 month old!

The first month of Sister's life was a great one. She is a really compliant baby and for that we are thankful!

She is most definitely losing her newborn look while still being teeny. She is bigger than her brother was but for some reason still seems like a bit of a peanut. She weighed 8 lbs, 12oz at her well check with Dr Murray and was 21 3/4 inches long. I can tell she is getting taller because newborn onsies are becoming a bit tighter to snap. I've moved up to some 3 month size mostly because after a month, I'm ready for a different rotation of clothes. I counted and she has 53 tops for size 3 months so might as well get a leg up on wearing those! (Read: I have a shopping problem.) We have even had to retire a few newborn sleepers completely because they are too short.

Holland had a pretty great personality her first month of life. She was a great sleeper, waking about every 3 hours at night but is very efficient that I only have to be awake for about 15 minutes. She eats and goes straight to bed for the most part. She will be happy to lay back down awake, as long as she has her beloved white noise, and will put herself to sleep. If there is a favorite thing she does, that is it! She pretty much slept the entire month so it's hard to mention many other personality traits. If she is awake, she wants to be held, however. She nurses great but doesn't linger. It takes maybe 10 minutes total for her to get what she wants. We haven't gone through the cluster feeding phase yet. She's had a handful of bottles and takes those just fine. I plan to do at least 1-2 a week from here on out because Joe and I are leaving the kids in August and she needs to be okay with taking the bottle.

Sister is in size 1 diapers, tolerates the paci pretty well but shows signs of wanting to be a thumb sucker. We super heart love the rock n play but despise the swing. She wants to be strapped to me in the baby carrier most afternoons which is just fine because I need my hands free for brother. She wants her hands by her face almost 24/7, therefore not a fan of the swaddle. She has been shopping with mom a number of times and went out to eat for her first restaurant experience when Uncle Nate and Kristi were visiting. She slept through the whole thing.

She's so great and I'm already mourning her teeny babyhood. I love the itty baby stage.
