We have hit our first big milestone of this pregnancy...I'm offically 1/4 of the way through! Writing that out is freaky! How did that even happen? If these weeks have gone by this fast, I can only imagine what the other 30 are going to feel like.

I don't have too much to report for week 10. I did succumb to my first real pregnancy craving this week when I texted Joe that I was craving Bdubs like something fierce. I meal plan every week so I always know what we will be having for dinner. Boneless wings just sounded so much better than the steak stirfry we had planned for that night. Otherwise, business is pretty much as usual in the eating category. I thought for sure that pregnancy would make me starving but really I can't eat much in one sitting like I used to. My meals are split in mostly snacks spread throughout the day.
I've started to feel pretty uncomfortable sitting at my desk all day. I think it's just restlessness because my clothes are fitting fine. I've also read from numerous blogs that expecting moms feel more fat than anything else at this stage of the game and that's pretty much me. (I can see you all rolling your eyes.) I know I'm pregnant and I shouldn't feel fat but I do! It's just a weird stage where you almost have a stomach but not really. People just see an unattractive pooch. I can't tell you how many times I've judged other moms for saying the same thing but I think it's just the nature of the beast. No one likes gaining weight, even if it is for a purpose. So now that I told you all I look fat, let's take a look at this weeks belly pictures.

Let's see what's happening with the offspring this week, shall we?

I have to say this weeks picture is the nastiest yet. The week of the prune. Now that almost all of the organs have grown, they are now starting to actually function. Maybe his/her kidneys are working overtime like mine are. Baby has completed most of his/her critical development already which I think is absolutely crazy. That was so fast! Nails are growing on the fingers and toes and tiny hairs are growing on the babies body. Ew. The spinal cord is visible through the babies translucent skin and spinal nerves are forming. The forehead is exceptionally large due to the bulging brain that sits high in the head. I really hope that fixes itself. Joe already has a big enough head and ego to fill one family.
Speaking of Joe, he was bragging this week that he knew the baby was almost the size of my fist. I asked him how he knew that and he said he's been doing his own "daddy research." I called him a big dork but I really think it's the most adorable thing ever....even if he is wrong.
Onward and upward!
Wow you can see a difference in the pictures. Are you going to wear the same thing every week? What happens when that shirt doesn't fit anymore? :)

Yep, I will be wearing the same thing every week. Joe knows that this outfit means picture day! I've already bought a size up in the shirt and yoga pants...Gotta plan ahead! I fully expect to buy yet another size up later so we'll see.
ReplyDeleteYou are a crazy planner!
