13 weeks

13 weeks

I wish I had more exciting news for you this week but honestly, I haven't really done anything besides sleep. I wake up, go to work, come home, make dinner and get in bed. I've spent every night this week asleep before 8 pm. I'm well rested though! Strangely, I have had a tension headache going on the last few days. I'm not sure if it's from staring at the computer screen or just hormones or what. It's only a bit painful and annoying though. I have this weird thing with taking meds so I haven't gone that route yet, not that I can take anything besides Tylenol anyways.

Onto the clothes front, my pants are getting tighter still. (Shocking, I know, based on this weeks bump picture. ::sarcasm::) I only have a few pairs that fit comfortably but hopefully I can hold off a few weeks to get anything new. I figure by May the weather will be changing and I can stock up on more warm weather stuff. I've moved from craving salty foods last week to sweets this week. Cake is bordering on an obsession at this point. I've not indulged though! I don't give it much longer. Water is also a serious need this week. I have had to fill my 24oz nalgene bottle four times while at work and I still down another 4+ glasses at home.

Baby T this week is a peach! The length of the baby can be compared to the length of my finger. That is so creepy but cool to me! The ears are developed enough that s/he may be able to hear us talk. That's even crazier! Bouts of prenatal hiccups are strengthening the diaphragm, which is preparing the respiratory system for breathing. The bone marrow is making white blood cells for fighting off infections. If Baby T is a girl, she already has 2 million eggs in her ovaries.

In other news, Joe is ditching me till Wednesday for Marco Island to golf. I'm jealous to say the least. I'm growing his child and he gets to wisk away to warm weather for leisure. The only plus side is that he will be spending too much time on the golf course to watch the Masters while I have endless amounts of free time to lay on the couch and root for Phil. Always a silver lining! While he is gone, I'll be spending my weekend in the tropical city of Pontiac.
