Front house remodel: Part 3

18 months old

This is where we left off last week with our progress. Edgers were done, part of the rock was laid, some painting finished but still a ways to go.

Nothing too dramatic was completed this week so I won't do many before and after shots. Good news is the neighbors seem to approve as they've made sure to stop by and comment on the work. The biggest check mark has been getting the rest of the rock laid. All the rain we had this last week made for a very short window of opportunity to get it done but we did and it looks so much better!

I mentioned in the past that for now we are keeping this just boring rock for a few reasons. Firstly, because plants are $$$ and also because I'm going to need some help picking out what should go here. I'm pretty sure it will become a dump truck and tractor playground this summer for Barrett and his toys. He already loves jumping down from the step and running through it.

We also had a quick window of time to trim the holly bush. The rain has since cleaned up all the extra debris too which is a bonus since Joe didn't get to blow it out before I took this picture. Even since taking this picture, the small trees have started to bud some flowers.
