It's done, you guys! Like done, done. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking but needless to say, Joe and I never ever want to do this again. It was worth it but still....not fun.

I've mentioned in previous updates that we still have a ways to go before we will call the entire backyard done. Landscaping, planter boxes and a paver patio just to name a few but we'll get to that eventually. You can see some of our left over lumber that Joe will use to make the planter boxes.

Under these stairs will be a big planter box, about 3 feet tall. I really don't want people (read: kids) walking underneath here if I can help it so the boxes should take care of that.

I hated the way the chimney just ended, feet from the ground. It blends seamlessly now.

A few in-progress shots from way back in March. It's funny that the actual construction of the structure was the easy part.

From when we were just able to walk on it to Completed.

The lame light fixture moved back here from the front door. (Still works.)

No railings to DONE (Have I said how happy I am that it's done yet?)

Disregard the neighbors jungle. They mow the front yard and not the back. Great, right?

The gate works great when we actually shut and lock it. :)

I love it! And even more now that it's finished! (Can I say that again? It's finished!)

Now I just need to get Joe to start on that big farmhouse table he's making me. :)
It looks good! So much better..
