Before I get to the Before & After's, here is what the disaster area looked like while we were in transformation mode.
Joe was obsessed with this weird notch in the wall and was determined to get it fixed. I wouldn't have noticed it one bit but he was adamant it had to go. He removed the drywall.

And spent two separate days mudding and sanding the area down until it was just right. I guess it does look much better.

Joe painted all the ceilings

And just like the rest of the house, we painted the baseboards, windows and casings.

Plus all the doors.....It was practically an entire week straight of seeing nothing but white paint.

We also painted the mantle.

And spent another 3 days cutting with the blue.

As I write this, the room has gotten the stamp of completion! We still have a few more mini projects to complete like painting the exterior door (on the outside and inside), installing all the door knobs on the doors, spot treating some of the stains in the carpet and of course, decorating. You will get to see all those updates in due time though. For now...

All in all, not a big or tough task but the transformation is pretty remarkable!
I love that shade of blue. What a difference!
